Warehouse Associate

Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for a broad range of warehousing operations, performed both independently and as part of a team. This includes supporting container and truck unloading, packing products in standard or custom-made boxes for order fulfillment, and maintaining warehouse inventory and organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operates a variety of material handling equipment such as crane, forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, to fulfill work orders and duties
  • Unloads incoming inventory and material from trucks and containers, checks packaging documents and puts away products according to established guidelines
  • Locate, retrieve and pack items accurately and securely to fulfill customer orders
  • Builds custom boxes or crates as needed to fulfill order shipments. Includes spacers and strapping to prevent product damage.
  • Interfaces with customers to process in-person order pickups in a timely, respectful and accurate manner
  • Loads outbound shipments to assure compliance with weight and order requirements
  • Supports scheduled inventory control measures and policies
  • Maintains warehouse and equipment according to policy
  • Provides working knowledge to the warehousing operations, including customer order fulfillment, receiving, inventory control, and shipping functions to reduce costs and increase reliability.
  • Helps maintain a clean and safe warehouse and working environment
  • Core warehouse shift hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am – 4 pm
  • Other duties as management may deem necessary from time to time

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of measurements and weights using ruler, tapes, or scales
  • Ability to count accurately
  • 3+ years of warehousing/fulfillment/logistics experience
  • Forklift certification, or willingness and ability to obtain certification, required
  • Spanish as a second language a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Physical Demand

The primary work environment is the warehouse, exposure to weather conditions and noise exist. Employee interacts with other staff members and/or clients during the work day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move heavy and/or cumbersome items and weight.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Warehousing and/or order fulfillment: 3 years (Required)

Language:

  • English (Preferred)
  • Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Forklift Certification (Preferred)
