This two piece split shoe for round posts and newels wraps around the base of a round bar and is a great way to finish off or retrofit a railing or fence project. Cover up drill holes, mismatched concrete or caulking, all without uninstalling or disassembling the project. All you need is a screwdriver!

The merchandise must be returned in its original packaging, undamaged, and in resale condition. Return shipping must be pre-paid by the client. Any products altered in any way are not returnable. Merchandise credit (minus restocking fee) will be issued when returned material has been received and examined by our warehouse staff, and found not to have been altered or damaged.

Dimension Details for Two Piece Split Shoe for Round Posts

  • Fits round posts and newels measuring 1″ or 1-1/4″

Material Type and Finish

Base Shoe Installation

  1. Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the set screw on each side (two total).
  2. Position one half of the cover shoe around the post, and verify sizing. Refer to graphic in product gallery.
  3. Slide the other half of the shoe around the post. Align the set screw holes.
  4. Screw in each set screw fully. Do not overtighten.
